Water Safety
From Red Cross

Swimming is the most popular summer activity. The best thing you can do to stay safe is to enroll in swim lessons.
Safety tips whenever you are in, on or around water:

  • Never leave a young child unattended near water and do not trust a child’s life to another child.
  • If you go boating, wear a life jacket! Most boating fatalities occur from drowning.
  • Ensure that everyone in the family learns to swim well.
  • Depending on where you are swimming and what the occasion is make sure that there is a designated area where the kids are allowed to swim.
